Did I mention yesterday I have been suffering with a nasty cold? It invaded my body last week completely uninvited. I think I remember exactly when it was too… just when I was laying in bed after the 24 hr stomach flu my 5th grader gifted me, she found it at school and decided to bring it home. Please kids you have to understand viruses are not welcome in this house!
Saturday I tried to expel the said “BUG” from my body by running 4 miles with my friend Barb, coughing it up and leaving it at Sandy Hook. The run took place in very windy conditions, we ran 2 miles out and in slow motion headed back head on into the wind. I coughed alright, but that sucker was still with me when I went out for a beer that night, even after a sinus rinse!
Now today my ear hurts. Well, when it comes to Earache I am a BIG baby so off to Dr Chapman I went. I love it when they ask how you are, I went though all my symptoms and replied “NO” to most of the “Does that hurt?” Questions. Finally he looked into my ears it seems fluid is the problem.
$35.00 later I am fully equipped with 2 Prescription Drugs that are going to make me feel better… this is not good. I hate taking drugs but apparently it’s the only way since its been over a week 😦
There is no better comfort food than Mac N Cheese when you are feeling a little down and its cold out!
I don’t know about you but I always ask the kids the question ” What shall we have for dinner tonight?” Only one of them answers, that is always Josh.
Today I didn’t need to ask I was in the mood for his favourite, Mac N Cheese!
What a happy boy he was when I called them for dinner and to his surprise he was staring at the most delicious Mac N Cheese ever.
Made with Whole Wheat Elbow Macaroni, Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar, topped with Panko Bread Crumbs everyone was very satisfied.
Not a Weight Watchers friendly dinner I know but hey, my ears hurt!
What did you have for dinner tonight?
